Tire Pump (Free)
Available near the entrance for pre-ride tire checks. Help yourself anytime.
Bicycle Parking
A parking space is available in the garden (uncovered/no roof).
※ If renting a bicycle, we recommend the free parking lot at Onomichi Station North Exit. (The slope up to the guesthouse makes riding here difficult.)
Bike Bag Storage
Bikes packed in a bike bag can be stored in your room.
※ Please handle with care to protect walls, glass, and floors.
We do not lend out tools for puncture repair or maintenance. Please bring your own tools or visit a nearby bike shop.
After Your Ride
3 Washing Machines (¥200/use) · 1 Dryer (¥300/use)
Wash your sweaty gear the same day and feel fresh the next morning.
Clotheslines are available outside each room. Hangers and laundry clips are provided in the closet, so you can also air-dry outside.
2 Public Baths (Sento) within 10 min walk
The guesthouse has showers only, but there are traditional public baths nearby.
Soak away the fatigue of the day in a full-sized bath.
The walk through Onomichi’s streets to the sento is a memorable part of the trip.
A NOTE FROM THE HOST
After a long day on the bike, the sento is something else. You can find the locations of nearby sento (Public Bath) here.
If you’d like a sauna or electric bath, the 2nd floor of Kurihara Onsen is our recommendation.
Please note: Guests with tattoos are not permitted to use public baths (sento) in Japan. This is a common rule at most facilities, regardless of the size or visibility of the tattoo. We appreciate your understanding.
Dining

FAQ
Can beginners ride the Shimanami Kaido?
Yes, you can. The cycling route is well-maintained with clear signage. You can also turn back at one of the islands along the way, so feel free to ride at your own pace.
Where can I rent a bicycle?
There are several rental cycle shops near Onomichi Station. If you plan to ride the Shimanami Kaido, check in advance whether one-way drop-off at Imabari is available. Electric-assist bicycles are also available. See the full list of rental shops.
Can I bring my own bicycle (road bike, etc.)?
Yes. A parking space is available (uncovered). If you’re arriving by train with your bike in a bag, you can store it in your room.
I want to leave early in the morning — is that okay?
No problem. No staff will be present, but simply leave the key on the hook to the right of the entrance and you’re good to go.
What do I do with my luggage on the day I ride?
Coin lockers near the station are a good option. On your check-out day, you can also leave luggage in the common area — just ask us (please keep valuables with you). Baggage delivery services to your destination are also available.
What’s the best season to ride?
Spring (March–May) and autumn (September–November) are the most comfortable seasons. Summer can be very hot, so an early morning start is recommended. Winter riding is possible but requires warm clothing.
Is there a bath or shower?
The guesthouse has showers only, but there are public baths (sento) nearby. A great way to soak away the day’s ride.
Can I do laundry?
Yes. We have 3 washing machines (¥200/use) and 1 dryer (¥300/use). You can wash your cycling gear the same day you ride. Clotheslines are available outside each room, and hangers and laundry clips are provided.
